Alguien me dijo alguna vez que todo lo que rodeaba a Marbella, el Starlite, celebrities, etc… olía un poco a glamour un poco trasnochado…nada más lejos de la realidad. Una muy buena muestra fue el desfile organizado por Starlite Marbella llamado Elena Benarroch & Friends, una auténtica maravilla para los que amamos la moda y nos gusta disfrutar de ella.
Someone told me once that everything that surrounded Marbella – Starlite, celebrities, etc…was both a bit glamorous and a bit outdated…nothing is further from the truth. A great sample was the fashion show organized by Starlite Marbella, called Elena Benarroch&Friends, an absolutely wonderful show for those who love fashion and enjoy it.
La mañana del 28 de Julio recibí en mi correo una invitación a un evento de moda que me pareció súper interesante, Starlite Marbella organizaba un desfile donde Elena Benarroch, junto con un grupo de diseñadores amigos, presentaban sus últimas colecciones. No lo dudé, llamé a mi inseparable Inma de nosinmisjeans y a mi fotógrafa y sobrina favorita Sandra y allá que nos fuimos a disfrutar de la noche.
Last 28th July morning I received an invitation to a super interesting fashion event. Starlite Marbella was organizing a fashion show where Elena Benarroch and some other designers, friends of hers, were going to showcase their upcoming collections. I didn’t hesitate a second, I called my inseparable Inma from nosinmisjeans and my photographer and favourite niece Sandra and there we went to enjoy an amazing night.
Allí se congregaron muchos rostros conocidos, amigos de la diseñadora y habituales del verano en Marbella, Josie, Beatriz de Orleans, Maria Vaquerizo, Alaska, Antonia San Juan, Manuel Bandera, etc…
There were many famous people gathered, Josie, Beatriz de Orleans, Mario Vaquerizo, Alaska, Antonia San Juan, Manuel Bandera, etc…
La diseñadora se rodeó de grandes compañeros de profesión como fueron Davidelfín, Baruc Corazón, Lenny Niemeyer, Sara Navarro, Walter Steiger y Ángela Navarro. El desfile estuvo organizado por Estefanía Luyk con su agencia Why Not , grandes profesionales que pasaron los diseños de una forma excepcional.
The designer was accompanied by great colleagues like Daviddelfín, Baruc Corazón, Lenny Niemeye, Sara Navarro, Walter Steiger y Ángela Navarro. The fashion show was organized by Estefanía Luyk through her agency Why Not, terrific professionals that showed the different designs on the catwalk in an outstanding way.
El desfile fue abierto por la colección Cruise 2016 de Elena Benarroch, bajo la firma de su hija Yael Barnatán. Tengo que decir que las pieles nunca me han apasionado, pero esta muestra me enseñó cómo una prenda de piel puede ser de lo más actual y juvenil. Los tonos que destacaron eran el rosa empolvado y el gris perla.
The show was opened by the collection Cruise 2016 by Elena Benarroch, developed by her daughter Yael Barnatán. I have to admit that I´ve never been an enthusiast of fur clothing, but this clothing line taught me that a fur garment can have a youthful air and be absolutely trendy. The tones that stood out were dusty pink and pearl grey.
La siguiente firma fue la de Lenny Niemeyer y su colección de biquinis, bañadores y «beachwear» realmente espectacular (siento la calidad de las fotos, os invito a visitar su web y ver su colección de baño) .
The following one was the firm Lenny Niemeyer and its spectacular collection of bikinis, swimsuits and “beachwear” (I´m sorry about the quality of the pictures, I would invite you all to visit its website to have a look to the whole collection).
Y llegó la sospresa de la noche, la maravillosa colección «El tiempo de los monstruos» del querídisimo diseñador malagueño Davidelfín.Contaba con unas piezas en una variedad de color espectacular y poco usual en este creador, vestidos de lúrex en verde metalizado, monos de corte masculinos,etc…simplemente genial!
And then, the surprise of the night, the wonderful collection “El tiempo de los monstruos” by our beloved designer from Málaga Davidelfín. It included some pieces with an amazing variety of colors, something unusual in his creations, lúrex dresses in metal green, masculine-cut overalls, etc…. just great!
Baruc asombró con su camisería masculina convertidos en caftanes.

Y para finalizar el show, Elena Benarroch nos mostró 20 piezas de alta costura en blanco y negro con diferentes tipos de pieles, un auténtico festival.
At the end of the show, Elena Benarroch showed 20 pieces of couture with different kinds of furs in black and white, absolutely breathtaking.
Estefanía Luyk y Javier Cordero desfilaron con algunas de estas maravillosas piezas. Y cerrando el desfile la gran amiga de la diseñadora, Bibiana Fernández, hizo su aparición con un vestido de noche de estilo romántico y una estola blanca que nos impresionó mucho a todos los asistentes. Realmente fue un momento mágico.
Estefanía Luyk y Javier Cordero paraded in some of these wonderful garments. And closing the parade the great friend of the designer, Bibiana Fernández, who showed up in an evening dress, romantic style, and a white stole that impressed all the audience. It was really a magical moment.

El look que elegí para esta noche llena de sorpresas, fue un vestido de Massimo Dutti, plisado en color aguamarina, con cinturoncito en beige, marcando un poquito la cintura, para resaltar la silueta.
The look I chose for such a special night was a pleated aquamarine dress from Massimo Dutti with a beige belt, marking the waist a little bit to emphasise the figure.
Los zapatos son unos tacones con plataforma en color moca de Tommy Hilfiger, y bolso en el mismo color que el vestido de Parfois. Los pendientes de @jewelcloning aunque no se aprecien bien en la foto, son los que utilicé en este post para un evento importante.
The shoes, platform heels mocha coloured by Tommy Hilfiger, and a handbag from Parfois. Even though they are hard to see in the photo, the earrings from @jewelcloning were the ones I chose for such an important event (click here to see them)
¡Qué sorpresa nos llevamos cuando a la salida del evento tuvimos la suerte de encontrarnos en el photocall con Manuel Bandera y Elena Benarroch! Un placer poder charlar un ratito con vosotros, gracias.
Y sin más, os invito a que conozcáis esta parte de Marbella que realmente merece la pena, donde se promueve y se fomenta este tipo de eventos donde la moda es el leit-motiv.
