4º Aniversario de Lookedforyou

¡Hola a todos mis «perseguidores»! 

Es Noviembre, un mes que trajo a mi vida un compañero de viaje que se iba a convertir en mi herramienta de trabajo y mi fiel compañero durante muchos días. Se cumple el 4º ANIVERSARIO de mi blog LOOKEDFORYOU, un proyecto que comenzó como un hobbie y que cada día crece y me llena de satisfacciones.

It’s November – the month that brought me my travel companion that would turn into a work tool and a loyal companion throughout many days. It’s the 4th ANNIVERSARY of my blog, LOOKEDFORYOU, a project that started as a hobby, and which is growing every day and bringing me much fulfillment.

Os voy a hacer un repaso de los posts publicados en mi «blogcumpleaños». Así podréis comprobar como ha ido evolucionando y creciendo gracias a todos vosotros.

I’m going to go over the posts that I published on my blog’s birthday, this way you can see how it’s evolved and grown thanks to all of you.

1.- 3º Aniversario: Príncipe de Gales/ 3rd Anniversary: Prince of Wales

Se ve que al año pasado no estuve muy pendiente de la fecha y se me pasó. Pero el post que coincide con el aniversario me gusta porque habla de una tendencia que a día de hoy sigue estando en todas las tiendas. El cuadro Príncipe de Gales, su procedencia y cómo combinarlo lo podéis encontrar en este link.

As you can see, last year I didn’t pay much attention to the date and it slipped my mind. Yet, I like the post that coincided with the anniversary last year because it was about a trend that we’re still seeing in stores till this day. The Prince of Wales check (also known as glen check or glen plaid), its origin and how to combine it, you can find all of this info via this link.

Además tenéis unas fotos espectaculares hechas en el pueblo de Mijas, un lugar con mucho encanto de la provincia de Málaga. 

Me ha hecho mucha gracia ver cómo también el año pasado por estas fechas me volvía a cortar flequillo, se ve que después del verano siempre me apetece sanear y cortar por lo sano.

You even get to see some spectacular photos that were taken in the small town of Mijas; a very charming place in the province of Malaga.
I find it funny to see how, around the same time last year, I had cut my fringe. It seems that after summer every year I always feel like freshening up my hair and chopping it off.

2.- 2º Aniversario: Estadísticas y algunas reflexiones/ Statistics and some thoughts

En este segundo Aniversario el post estuvo dedicado a hacer un poco de autocrítica y os mostraba las estadísticas del blog y mis redes sociales. Además os mostraba los posts con más éxito, que casualmente coinciden en el tiempo, algunas compañeras que me sirven de inspiración y los propósitos que me marqué para ese año y que se han ido cumpliendo.

For my blog’s second anniversary, I dedicated this post to a self-evaluation and showed you some of my blog and social media profile’s statistics. I showed you which posts were the most successful, that happen to coincide in terms of time, some of my colleagues that have served as inspiration, and the goals I had set for that year (and that I’ve been achieving).

Aquí os dejo la comparativa que hice entre el 2015 y el 2016 y he querido mostraros la subida tan buena de estos últimos dos años. Estoy muy contenta y orgullosa de haber formado una comunidad tan bonita y que me acompañais en mi día a día con mis «ootd».

Here’s the comparison I made between 2015 and 2016, and I also wanted to show you the growth that’s happened in the last couple of years and that is so great. I’m very happy and proud to have built such a beautiful community, and that you accompany me in my day to day with my OOTDs.

¿Y qué me decís del blog? Genial la acogida que tuvo en sus inicios, éramos poquitos pero fieles. Poco a poco hemos crecido, hemos ido desarrollando una forma de ver la moda. Me habéis acogido y hecho sentir que queréis seguir mirando a través de mis ojos las tendencias, los trucos y la forma de combinar todas las prendas.

And, what do you have to say about the blog? It received a warm welcome in the beginning, we were few but loyal. We’ve grown little by little and have developed a perspective on fashion. You’ve welcomed me and made me feel that you want to keep seeing trends, styling tricks and ways to combining outfits, through my eyes.

En dos años hemos más que duplicado las páginas vistas, y las visitas. Estoy encantada porque eso quiere decir que cada uno de vosotros que entra en mi blog a través de un post, siempre se para a mirar algún que otro post más. Con lo cual, interesa y gusta lo que estáis viendo y eso me hace sentir fenomenal.

In two years we’ve more than doubled page views and visits. I’m delighted because that means that each of you who comes to my blog through a post always has a look at another one of my posts. Therefore, you find it interesting and like what you’re seeing, and that makes me feel fantastic.

Y, desde luego, el post  por excelencia y que sigue siendo el «number one» es éste donde os hablo de cómo ser la invitada perfecta con Teria Yabar. Es curioso que coincide con el primer post que hice tras llegar a mi vida una persona muy especial. Y yo me pregunto: ¿tendrá «ella» algo que ver? Seguro que sí.

And, the best post by far, and that continues being “number one” is where I talk about how to be the perfect guest with Teria Yabar. It’s interesting that it coincides with the first post I created after someone so special arrived in my life. So, I ask myself: “Does she have something to do with this?” I’m sure she does.

3.- 1º Aniversario: Repaso de looks del primer año/  A review of my looks from the first year

En este post  del 1º Aniversario hice un repaso de todos los looks de esa temporada por estaciones del año. Curioso ver cómo muchas de las prendas me siguen acompañando a día de hoy. Este año, gracias a mi reto con centros LEV de Málaga y Plaza del Mar Centro Wellness, voy a intentar reciclar más y tener la capacidad de combinar las prendas para darle un toque de tendencia.

In this post that I created for my blog’s first anniversary, I reviewed all of my looks by season from that year. It’s interesting to see how many of these garments still accompany to this day. This year, thanks to my LEV challenge with the LEV center in Malaga and the Wellness Center Plaza del Mar, I’m going to try and reuse them more and combine them in ways that will add a trendy touch.

4.- 4º Aniversario: el pasado siempre vuelve/ The past always returns

Y siguiendo con el propósito que os acabo de comentar, aquí tenéis un look con la falda que saqué en el primer post del blog donde aparezco yo. 

En aquella ocasión usé esta falda midi plisada, tendencia total del momento, para un look sofisticado, una comida navideña. Los complementos y los zapatos hacían de ella una falda muy especial. El maquillaje realizado por mi fiel amiga y compañera de batalla Macarena Teruel, también realzaba ese punto fiestero del outfit.

And, continuing with the objective that I’ve just mentioned, here’s a look with the skirt that I wore in my first post where I appear. On that occasion I used this pleated midi skirt, trend of that moment, for a sophisticated look for a Christmas lunch. The accessories and the shoes made the skirt look very special. The makeup, done by my loyal friend and battle mate Macarena Teruel, also enhanced the festive aspect of my look.

Actualmente, me gusta darle un punto ochentero a este tipo de prenda. Los botines con tachuelas, y la chaqueta vaquera oversize rota, hacen de este conjunto algo más relajado.

Now, I like to add an 80s touch to this type of garment. The studded ankle boots and the torn oversized denim jacket, make for a more relaxed look.

Otro toque de contemporaneidad lo da el cinturón que se ha convertido en un imprescindible con multitud de prendas. 

La camiseta anchita, con esa uve en burdeos rememorando las sudaderas de los 80, sigue en la línea de lo que quería transmitir.

Another contemporary touch is the belt that has turned into a must for many clothes.

The wide T-shirt, with the burgundy color V reminiscent of 80s sweaters, is in line with what I want to transmit.

El bolso grande tipo shopper es otro síntoma de look para el día a día. Esto nos lleva a pensar que cualquier prenda sabiendo accesorizarla bien, puede ser usada tanto de día como de noche. De esta forma aprovecharemos mucho más todo lo que tenemos en el armario y que muchas veces no sabemos cómo combinarlo.

The big shopper style bag is another feature for a day to day look. This brings us to believe that any garment, when accessorizing it well, can be used during the day as well as at night. This way, we can take better advantage of everything that we have in our wardrobes and that we don’t know how to combine many times.
